Style makeover

I'm giving my friend Mike a serious style make over. His clothing style needs a major adjustment so me and my friend Karen or as you guys may know her, fashion nerd are giving him a brand new look so he can get girls to take interest in him. Not only are we helping him change his clothing style, but his whole look in general. He's dying his hair, getting rid of his acne, he doesn't want to get contacts, but is gonna get new, cooler looking glasses. Also he can be sort of immature so we also teaching how to act more polite and gentlemanly. We are gonna give him insight into what girls look for in a guy. Don't worry I will be sure to post a before and after picture, but it wont be anytime time soon since this may take a while.

Fun and fancy

Ok, so I know there are clothes for fancy occasions and clothes to look causal, but who says an item can't be both. Take for example the white shirt with the black belt in the picture above. Kristin Cavallari wears it informal with jeans whereas Daine Lane wears it to an upscale event with a black skirt and stockings.

Like for example this black sequined top from forever 21 for $29 that you can wear with Jeans to dress it down or wear with a skirt or slacks to dress it up. Also another great example is this nice black and white top with a thin yellow belt from target for only $24. Wear it with jeans to look casual or add a skirt for a more fancy look. So remember, be sure look at a clothing item from all perspectives. It may surprise you. Happy shopping. :-)

Hot trend of the day

You have seen this trend, everywhere!!!!!!!!!! It's the hottest new thing, no surprise here the hot trend i'll talk about today is the scarf. Yes scarfs have been worn for centuries, but not like this. In this style the scarf is not worn with each side hanging down, but in a circular shape around the person's neck. Yeah, yeah you know you see it all the time. Even Jessica Biel sports this hot look. The interesting thing about this trend is you can find these scarfs anywhere from a fancy department store to an old thrift store. I'm not going to mention too many specific places to buy them because the list goes on forever, but I do know Wet Seal sells them for $9. A suggestion to pull off this look is wear a plain white tee so it doesn't distract from the scarf, a pair of jeans, any kind of boots and your good to go. Happy shopping :-)

p.s. If you're wondering what kind of boots to wear you can also consider trying some cowboy boots to give this look a vintage western feel.

One girl's trash is another girl's treasure

Want to know how to look good for cheap. Well here are some great LA shops where you can do just that. Did you know they're stores where you can not only find designer clothes for less, but also get store credit or cash by turning in your own old designer clothes. Well yep there are. Two great examples of this is the store Crossroads and the store Buffalo Exchange. There you can find great looking, purses, scarfs, belts, t-shirts, jackets, shoes, dresses, sunglasses you name it and all at a cheap price too. Boots are totally in right now and at Buffalo Exchange this weekend I bought the nicest pair of brown suede boots for the ridiculous price of... $9 oh wow I really broke the bank on those lol. See, great deals. Also another great place to shop is, drum roll please...Good Will... dun dun dun. Now I know you're probably all looking at your computer screens like I'm crazy and ya I know a lot of there stuff is pretty bad, but if you take one lesson from reading this it should be, dig. Think of the store as a sandbox. It may seem dirty, but if you dig deep enough you might find treasure. My best guess leather jacket was from the rack of good will. The key is to have patience and perseverance and who knows what you'll uncover. Also another good place to shop, but not drop from the amount of money you spend is down town. (Partial digging required) I brought the cutest flower dress there for only 10 buckaroonies and some high strapped pink sandal boots for only 30, the high ones usually cost about 50 or 60. They have them in many colors, gold, silver, pink, purple, yellow, green and blue. Also down town they have stylish knockoff designer purses that you cant even tell are knockoffs. They go for around 20 to 30 depending on the purse. Another thing they have down there are these amazing rhinestone clips that look so fancy. So where's the fancy price to go with them? No not here. They're super affordable, beyond affordable only 1$!!!!!! Can you believe that. The price of a drink is more then that. But wait get this, they not only have clips for a dollar, but also jewelry. Quite a steal. So that's how to shop for bargain. Happy shopping :-)
